John Murdoch awakens to find himself without any memory of his past, being wanted by the police for bizarre and brutal murders, a wife who is seeking him and whom he does not recall, and a most curious doctor. Most bizarre of all the people he meets, though, are some beings, who call themselves The Strangers, having the power to put people in some timeless sleep and alter the city and its inhabitants. John tries to piece together his past and figure out what is going on in the ever dark city.
An incredible science fiction movie, claustrophobic and dark. A neverending search for an exit that seems not to be there and a city which works as a playground and laboratory for more advanced beings.
